10 oz bag. Can be used for vase filling, crafts, mini gardens and other decorative projects. The sand is clean, dry and free of debris like wood chips, shells, etc., but it contains natural sea salt so it should not be used in aquariums unless it is soaked in water first to remove the salt.
Do you know the best way to save a crab that's become stranded on the beach? Tossing it back into the water is fine, but not 100% reliable-chances are, it will soon wash ashore again, where it will be at the mercy of the sun (well, maybe not in SF) and seagulls. Instead, pick up the poor stranded crab and carry it closer to the water. Dig a shallow depression (4-5" is fine), place the crab in it and cover it with sand. Next time a wave comes, the Crab will be safely covered and will not be washed away!
