Hand selected GORGEOUS,beautifully detailed, rich color, HEART SHAPED  Indigo Gabbro aka Mystic Merlinite from Madagascar.
Indigo gabbro is igneous( volcanic) in origin. It consists primarily of plaglioclase( a type of feldspar) pyroxene ( augite), quartz and a number of other trace minerals.
Mystic merlinite is said to be a magical stone with great healing ,meditating, astral  and chakra balancing properties. It is purported to help one see the bright side of things and be especially good for the joints and spine.
Sorry about the glare with the iPhone photos. The polish is so perfect that the light reflected no matter what angle I attempted. This specimen is MUCH nicer in " real life" !
