his magnetite has been classified down to #30 Mesh (1/3o of an inch) and below and has been magnetically refined. All work is done by hand. No electric classifying or refining. This is a dry washing process which uses no water. This means that the magnetite will be a little dusty. The mineral Magnetite is one of the main iron ores and is ferromagnetic, meaning that it is attracted to a magnet and can be magnetized into a permanent magnet. Magnetite is the most magnetic of all the naturally occurring minerals on Earth and has a Mohs hardness of 5–6. Naturally magnetized pieces of magnetite are called lodestone and will sometimes have enough energy to attract small pieces of iron. Observing this attraction in Magnetite is how humans first discovered magnetism and lodestones were used as an early form of magnetic compass.
Magnetite has a handful of different uses. You are using it right now and may not even know it. Magnetite is used for smelting and to make steel. It is used to make both electrical and non-electrical appliances, furniture, tools, bridges, buildings, automobiles, many different medicines and cosmetics, paint, printing ink, plastics, trains, the railroads that they ride on and so much more.
These days Magnetite is also often used in potted plants, for science experiments, in aquariums, terrariums and in arts and crafts. It is used in Zen gardens, in incense bases and in ash trays, to feed Lodestones and in Orgone Pyramids and Orgonite. It is also used in MEOW Kettles to charge Ormus water. Magnetite has a million different uses.
