Description

Fine quality piece of vintage military jewelry. The jewelry is a chain linked ID bracelet.
This is named and dated, as there is C. B. Locke, U.S. A.C., and on the back is 3 - 30 - 31, March Field. The 3, and 30 is for March 30th, and the 31 represents 1931. March Field was a U.S. Army Air Corps Air Field in Mississippi.
The initials U.S. A.C. stand for U.S. Army Air Corps, which is what the U.S.A.F. was called in the 1930's.
In the middle is a pilot's wing.
Now this is made of 10K Gold, and Sterling Silver. The wing is Sterling, while the middle is 10K Gold. The linked chain isn't 10K, it is gold plate.
10K is marked on the back and I had a jeweler examine it. He did the acid test in front of me and was able to confirm that it truly is 10K gold. The Pilot's  wing isn't stamped Sterling, but he looked at that as well, and said that it was Sterling Silver.
The total length of the bracelet is 3 1/4", and that is including the chain. The Sterling Pilot's wing is 1 1/2".
Please look closely at my photo's for the content as they are an important part of the description.
