Launched in 2010, Marlen created their first Coral Limited Edition fountain pen series.
Only 81 unique pieces created worldwide, hand-carved sculptured rare pink "Shiro" coral from Japan.
These tiny invertebrate marine organisms called polyps feed on plankton and are a fundamental link in the purification of the sea. In fact, around these beautiful coral barrier reeds, Marlen always admired the crystal clear waters. Thus it is to nature and its perfect organization that they dedicate this theme to their fountain pen limited edition series.
We are making available for auction the first Marlen Limited Edition Coral series fountain pen that was decorated with a hand-carved sculptured pink coral overlay from Japan on the barrel.
The cap is carved from wood. The clip, cap band, and rings on the barrel are crafted from solid sterling silver.
