SEI MARINE PRODUCTS - SE116, Upper 1.94/2.40
This upper gearcase is a replacement for Mercruiser Alpha One Generation 2 sterndrives from 1991-current. It comes with a 1.98/ 1.94 gear ratio with a 20/24 gear tooth count, and is used with 3.0 liter, 4 cylinder engines. This does not replace 2.0 gear ratio uppers. This is a brand new unit manufactured by SEI and it comes with a 3 year no-fault warranty.

General Information
SEI Marine Products uses FedEx Ground, FedEx 2-Day, and FedEx Priority Overnight for orders within the United States. Extra charges apply to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam and SP.
Combine orders and save on shipping! For all Domestic and International customers, please request an invoice at check out if you are ordering multiple items. Due to different items with different weights, we ask that you request an invoice for the correct shipping total. You will receive an invoice via eBay after items are combined with the correct total.
Multiple items may arrive in separate packages. All shipments will have a tracking number emailed to the email address that you have provided us and will be traceable through the shipping company's web site. If you have any questions regarding shipping or our policy feel free to contact the customer service department through eBay.
Domestic Shipping
Alaska and Hawaii customers, your items will ship out via FedEx 2-Day. Please inquire before purchasing on rates and transit times.
**All packages shipped within the state of Florida will be charged a 7% sales tax. **
International Shipping
We ship items internationally via FedEx International Economy. Please request an invoice at check-out so that we can select the correct shipping amount and method. If for some reason there is a miscalculation in the shipping cost we will have to collect the money via paypal before the item(s) are shipped out.
SEI Marine Products will not be fraudulent on any customs forms, so please do not ask. We only put the true value of the items in the box. We do not pay for any international customs fees or duties.
We cannot issue return call tags for international customers. Please ensure you are purchasing the correct items before completing your check out . All returned items for international customers will be shipped at the customers expense. If you have purchased the wrong item and need to return you will not be refunded your original shipping money.
If a package is returned to us for non-receipt, you will be refunded minus the shipping costs. If you would like the package resent to you, there will be another shipping charge.

SEI Marine Products hopes that you will be happy with your new purchase and that everything meets or exceeds your expectations. This is not always the case and sometimes you get the wrong item whether it is not what you thought, or it is the wrong part for your application. SEI Marine Products will gladly accept your return within 60 days for items that are in new, sellable condition and have not been installed. Send us a note through eBay for a return authorization (RA) number and return instructions.
General Information for Selecting and Purchasing an SEI 116 Upper Gearcases
SEI 116 upper gearcases replace Mercuiser Alpha I, GEN II uppers produced from 1991 to current. Serial numbers covered are OD469858 and above.
You must insure that the correct upper SEI gearcase is selected to maintain the correct gear ratio. See the chart below, although it is best to verify by the tooth counts as there are some variations. You can also contact us with your serial number to verify.

*24/24 is the original Mercruiser tooth count for this ratio. SEI has increased the strength of this gearset by changing the tooth count to 20/20. This allows the gear teeth to be much larger and therefore stronger.
Some early model Alpha I Gen II have a dipstick in the top cap. This feature was discontinued by 1995. SEI 116 upper units do not have this dipstick.
SEI 116 upper gearcases include the provisions for the Mercruiser gear lube monitoring system.
