VOLVO PENTA INNER TRANSOM SHIELD SX-M 3854605

Description

Listed here is a USED Volvo Penta Inner Transom Shield along with a couple grounding straps that are connected.  This is a Genuine OEM Volvo Penta part NOT a cheap Chinese aftermarket replacement or older cobra shield.  Part has normal wear/pitting/staining you would expect of a part of its age.  Has some small corrosion bubbles starting in a couple places but paint is mostly intact and still shiny.  Seems to be a defect in thread where steering pin goes but does not affect operation at all.   Part is fully functional.  The direct part number to this shield is 3854605 and lists for over 0 from the dealer.  The number 3854605-1 is cast in the part.  According to the internet part should be compatible with Volvo shields 3854605, 3869298, and Cobra / Bombardier shield 913826 or 913826.  The number 3868844 is on the tag but I believe this is the number for the complete assembly.  This is the part that joins the outer transom shield and mounts it to the transom of the boat.  These were used on many assemblies from the 1990s with Cobra until about 2006 with Volvo.  May be used on other years as well.  This shield came from a 2004 assembly that was used on a freshwater Orlando chain of lakes its entire life and has never seen salt water.  It is the SX-M model.  The transom shield you see pictured is the actual shield you will receive with nothing extra.  If  you have any questions or need help with compatibility please feel free to contact me before purchasing and I will help you to the best of my abilities.  Thank you for your interest.  Steve MMSLLC :)
