    Description

A tender mushroom with a fleshy, dense flesh and a pleasant, subtle aroma. It grows in large groups from May to October on moist stumps, trunks of dried or weakened deciduous trees. It can be fried, boiled, salted and marinated. In terms of its nutritional value, oyster mushrooms are ahead of not only vegetables, but also meat. It is best to eat young mushrooms or only the caps of mature mushrooms. Oyster mushroom lemon got its name for the bright, rich yellow color of the cap, which persists throughout the life of the fruit body. It is found exclusively in the Far East. This is one of the favorite mushrooms of the residents of Primorsky Krai.
    Tips on breeding:
A log or stick of hardwoods (beech, poplar, birch, willow, maple, rowan and fruit trees) without signs of rot, not fresh for 1 month after cutting. The moisture content of the wood should be at least 50-60%. The diameter of 10-30 cm, 30-50 cm, with the crust (without branches).
    Drill.
    Sterile gloves.
    Polyethylene.
    Wood ash.
In the garden: sowing is carried out from April to September.
    Stage I.
It is better to use healthy wood with high humidity. Before use, soak in water for 2-3 days. The excess water should drain off, and the wood completely soaked in water should first lie for a few days in a heated basement or on a tarpaulin under the sun.
In the prepared log, drill holes with a diameter of 0.8 cm and a length of 4 cm in a staggered order at a distance of about 10 cm from each other.
Wear sterile gloves or wipe your hands with alcohol. Insert the mushroom sticks into the holes until they stop.
Wrap the log in plastic wrap, making a small hole for the air to maintain the moisture content of the logs.
Place the log in a dark, damp room and leave it to grow with mycelium. At t = 20 S, the growth of the log is 2-3 months, at t = 25 S-1.5 months. At a temperature above 36 C, the mycelium can die. Logs are overgrown, if white mycelium is visible in the places of infection and on the ends
    Stage II.
In a shaded and wind-protected place in the garden, dig a hole 10-15 cm deep, moisten the bottom of the hole. (You can grow on the balcony, planting the wood after overgrowth in a tub with earth).
The log overgrown with mycelium should be buried vertically to a depth of 30-50% of the length. Sprinkle the soil around the log with wood ash (to fight snails). The optimal temperature for the formation of fruit bodies is from 18 to 25 C.
In dry weather, water the soil around the log weekly (5 liters per 1 sq. m.).
In winter, it is advisable to move the log to a room with a plus temperature.
From next spring, the bookmark should be regularly moistened again, first once a week, and during the maturation phase – every day. If it is not watered, oyster mushrooms will grow only in wet weather.
The first crop when grown on soft wood (poplar, birch, willow) - in 2-4 months, on hard wood (beech, maple, rowan) - in 6 months. Fruiting in waves, up to 3-4 years on soft wood, up to 5-7 years on hard wood. Yield - from 20 to 50% of the weight of the log.
